The 58 Self contain Corpers lodge built by the administration of Hon. Samuel Nwanosike – Chairman of Ikwerre LGA of Rivers State, was today, commissioned by Brig. Gen. YD. Ahmed – Director General, National Youth Service Corps.
Ahmed while Commissioning the project commended the Council Chairman for starting and completing what he described as people oriented project that will benefit Corpers posted to the LGA.
“Thank You Dr. Nwanosike, I’m happy this is happening in my time as the DG. I have not seen it like this before, for a Local Government Council to build this magnificent edifice, it’s unprecedented, I have never seen this type of project in the 774 Local Government Area in Nigeria,” he said
“The issue of accommodation for corp members posted to this LGA has been sorted out by your magnanimity,” he added.
Nwanosike, thanked the NYSC DG for coming personally to commission the project.
