The Rivers State Road Maintenance Agency has called on community leaders and residents of the state to help in the protection and cleaning of drainage and roads in their respective areas.
Timothy Nsirim, Chairman of the Agency made this know while inspecting work done along Choba Road Today. He called on residents to clean-up their drainage and ensure maintenance of the roads in their areas.
Nsirim who expressed dissatisfaction at the reckless dumping of refuse in drainage by residents, called on the Ministry of Environment to inspect drainage of residents with the view to ensuring that residents desist from the act.
Nsirim noted that they would have fixed the bad spot on the road, if not for the directive of the FG to state governments not to fix federal roads.
