Nigeria’s main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi over the alleged disappearance of N165 billion from the Nigeria Ports Authority.
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan said this in a statement in Abuja, on Monday.
He said the Transportation Minister, alongside the suspended Managing Director of the NPA, Hadiza Usman should be prosecuted by the relevant government agencies for financial crimes.
The party also accused the Minister, of having a hand in the alleged looting of over N48 Billion from the Niger Delta Commission by his wife, through her empowerment scheme, ESI.
“It is indeed disgraceful that under the APC that promised to end corruption in Nigeria, the public space is awash with revelations of sharing government’s revenue amongst concubines, girlfriends, wives, family members and top APC leaders,” Ologbondiyan said.
He also stated that government agencies have become Automated Teller Machines of greedy leaders of the All Progressives Congress.
