Lawmaker representing Ideato Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives – Ikenga Ugochinyere has again reacted to the political crisis in Rivers State, stating that not even the detonation of an atomic bomb can remove Gov. Sim Fubara from office.
Ugochinyere in a statement shortly after an alleged second attack on the office of the APP in Port Harcourt, said no desperate individual or group can intimidate the opposition in their defence of democracy in Rivers State.
He called on President Tinubu to act to save democracy and stop agents of darkness from further worsening situations in the country.
He said, “Let it be known that no desperate individual or group can intimidate the opposition in their defence of democracy in Rivers State and there is nothing that can ever lead to removal of the Governor even if they detonate nuclear bomb and set fire on the state as they have publicly declared.
“I am calling on the president to remember the political crisis of the 60 and 80s that saw desperadoes descend on the states and regions with unimaginable crises for democracy.
“This is the time for President Tinubu to act to save democracy and stop these agents of darkness from further worsening situations in the country
