Nollywood actor Ikechukwu Nweke has publicly disclosed that he has been battling colon cancer, revealing that the illness has remained largely private until now.
In a video shared on Instagram on Friday titled “My Cancer Journey,” the actor said he was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2025 and has spent more than ₦15 million on chemotherapy, radiotherapy, medical tests, scans and medications.
Nweke appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance to continue his treatment, while expressing gratitude to his family and colleagues, including Uche Nancy, Destiny Etiko, Lizzy Gold, Ebele Okaro and others, for their support throughout his health struggle.
