The Rivers State Police Command has dismissed reports that heavily armed gunmen invaded Bunu community in Tai LGA, shooting sporadically in the air, few days ago.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Nnamdi Omoni who made this known in a statement Today, said it was a false claim intended to cause panic and tension in the community.
He said no such report was received by the Divisional Police Officer and the Area Commander In-charge of the Bori Area Command.
The Youth President of Bunu Community, Justin Nwaba had earlier claimed that heavily armed gunmen invaded the community, shooting erratically in the air.
