The new Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Eboka Friday has promised to tackle crime and criminality, in line with the vision and mission of the Inspector General of Police. This he said is in accordance with International best practices, rule of law and respect for fundamental human rights.
The state Police boss disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
He stated that armed robbery, Kidnapping, sea piracy, cultism and all forms of criminality will not be tolerated under his watch.
The CP noted that his primary assignment is to secure the lives and properties of Rivers people, without fear or favor.
He also said illegal detention of innocent citizens, arrest by proxy, corrupt practices by officers will not be tolerated, no matter who is involved.
Eboka furthermore, appealed to the government and people of Rivers State to support the command in its bid to ensure protection of lives and properties.
