The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has been remanded in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS by a Federal High Court in Abuja, till July 26, 2021.
The order was given by the trial judge, Binta Nyako based on an application brought by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
Malami, had announced Kanu’s arrest in a statement. He said Kanu was arrested outside the country by the Interpol and brought back to the country on Sunday.
Kanu is facing charges bordering on terrorism, treasonable felony, unlawful possession of firearms amongst others.
