The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) has listed Rivers State as one of the states that might be hit by devastating flood from next month.
The Director-General of NIHSA, Clement Nze made this known in a statement Today.
He said, “The red alert points to imminent river flooding in Nigeria. Both the Kainji and Jebba dams have commenced spilling water downstream.
“This means that once the upper catchment of the basin gets flooded, Nigeria should be prepared to experience flooding incidents,” he added.
