The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), says it is doing everything humanly possible to ensure compulsory drug tests for all commercial drivers in the country.
Executive Officer of the Agency, Buba Marwa disclosed this in a meeting with the National Union of Road Transport Workers and some religious leaders in Port Harcourt, yesterday.
Marwa said most commercial drivers involved in long distance journey, consume these illicit drugs so as to stay awake all through and make more money.
He urged drivers to desist from consuming and constructing these llicit drugs, as the agency is on course to end such illegal act.
He stated that the issue of banditry, Kidnapping, armed robbery and other illegal acts in the country, are linked to the consumption of illicit drugs.
He said curbing the menace will help put an end to crime and criminality.
