Rivers State recorded 7 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,323 with 5,845 discharged and 92 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 542 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 99, Kwara-91, Ebonyi-48, Ogun-44, Kaduna-42, Oyo-33, Ondo-25, FCT-24, Kebbi-23, Osun-20, Ekiti-17, Nasarawa-12, Imo-11, Delta-10, Gombe-9, Kano-8, Katsina-7, Rivers-7, Edo-5, Plateau-4 and Bauchi-3
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 152,616 with 129,300 recovered patients, and 1,862 deaths.
The commission has advised Nigerians to Remember to wash their hands at these critical times.
