NDLEA Seizes Illicit Drugs Worth N17 Million in Rivers

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, says it has uncovered a cannabis Sativa warehouse in Abuja Estate in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Rachael Shelleng, State Commander of the Agency who disclosed this in a statement over the weekend, said N17 million worth of Illicit drugs were discovered from the warehouse.

She said over 23 bags of compressed blocks of cannabis weighing 621 kilograms were recovered, when the agency stormed the warehouse on Saturday.

She noted that about three male suspects were apprehended in connection to the seizures and taken into custody for further investigation.

‌Shelleng also assured residents of the agency’s preparedness to rid the state of illicit drugs.
