Spokesperson of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Solomon Lenu has alleged that the newly Inaugurated board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC spent the sum of N4billion naira on a retreat to ease stress.
Lenu who made this known in a statement Today, said the sum of N20 million Naira was paid to an individual as transport from PH to Akwa Ibom State.
“NDDC board inaugurated just yesterday has spent a whopping N4billion on a retreat where they went to ease their stress for such a hard work done,” he said.
“N20million was paid to an individual as transport from PH to Akwa-Ibom. I think God has finally abandoned this nation,” he added.
The NDDC is yet to react to the allegation. Efforts to reach management of the NDDC have not been successful.
