The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has recommenced work on the Kaa-Ataba road and bridge project, which connects Khana and Andoni Local Government Areas in Rivers State.
The 2-kilometer single-carriageway, featuring two bridges, aims to replace decades of reliance on water transportation by providing a vital road link to facilitate trade and commerce in the region.
Project Supervisor, Engineer Lawrence Ekanem, assured that the project would be completed within the year, describing it as an ambitious and impactful project.
The road and bridge are set to be commissioned as one of the NDDC’s key legacy projects before the end of the year.
