The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has urged travellers to remain vigilant and promptly seek medical attention if they develop symptoms consistent with Ebola.
The agency gave the advice while announcing updated guidance on the completion of Health Declaration Forms as part of efforts to prevent the importation and spread of the disease in Nigeria.
According to the advisory, travellers from countries with active or relevant Ebola transmission may be required to complete the form as part of enhanced public health surveillance and follow-up measures.
However, passengers arriving from all other countries are currently exempt from completing the form.
The NCDC said the updated guidance followed a dynamic risk assessment of the evolving epidemiological situation.
