The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that it is doing everything humanly possible to ensure that Nigerians do not find it difficult to get access to COVID-19 vaccines when they are out.
Director-General of the Centre, Chikwe Ihekweazu made this known on Monday in Abuja during the Presidential Task Force (PTF) briefing on COVID-19.
“We have to start preparing Nigerian population for vaccine delivery when it becomes available. Access is a very key issue when it comes to vaccines; that a vaccine is developed do not necessarily translate to being available to those that need it the most,” he said.
He noted that the commission was working with reputable international organisations to ensure the availability of vaccines to Nigerians when they do come out.
