The Nigerian Navy Ship PATHFINDER, on Wednesday 24th April 2024, discovered and deactivated multiple illegal refining sites with 2 refining ovens and 2 storage tanks around Cawthorne Channel 2 general area, Rivers State.
The Navy disclosed this in a statement, while assuring Nigerians of its commitment to eliminating oil theft in the Nigeria Delta region.
Also, the Navy stated that on Saturday 20 April 2024, Forward Operating Base BONNY intercepted 2 fibre boats laden with an unspecified amount of illegally refined AGO around Cawthorne Channel General Area, Rivers State.
