The leadership of the National social Investment Programme, says it will Investigate allegations of irregularities in the scheme, in Rivers State.
National Cordinator of the Scheme, Umaru Binda said this in a chat with Journalists in Port Harcourt on Saturday.
He said the Federal Government has trained about 250 Independent Monitors to investigate operations of the scheme in the state.
Binda also said there has been allegations of irregularities levelled against Coordinators of the scheme in the state. He called on residents of the state to visit offices of the scheme, and ask questions on how the programme is been operated.
Meanwhile, the immediate past chairman of the scheme in Rivers State, Allwell Ihunda says the state benefitted immensely from some of the programmes of scheme.
He commended the National Social Investment Programme, as he called for the state to be carried along in all of the programmes of the Federal Government.
