The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has received 120 traceability scanners from the World Health Organization (WHO) to bolster its track-and-trace initiatives aimed at enhancing product safety.
The Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, officially received the equipment during a visit by the WHO Nigeria Representative, Dr. Walter K. Mulombo. Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening regulatory systems, promoting local manufacturing, and combating the circulation of substandard and falsified products.
Prof. Adeyeye expressed gratitude for WHO’s continued partnership in safeguarding public health and advancing regulatory standards in Nigeria.
