The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully airlifted sensitive electoral materials for the Rivers South East Senatorial District by-election in Rivers State, alongside other elections scheduled for Saturday, June 20, 2026.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja, NAF spokesperson Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said the operation also covered the Ekiti State Governorship Election and senatorial by-elections in the Enugu North Senatorial District of Enugu State and the Nasarawa North Senatorial District of Nasarawa State.
According to the statement, the airlift was carried out to support preparations for the elections and ensure the timely delivery of sensitive materials to the affected locations.
The Air Force noted that the operation reflects its continued commitment to supporting national institutions and contributing to the smooth conduct of democratic processes across the country.
