A yet-to-be identified woman has been burnt to death after a high tension wire fell on her building and set it ablaze at Agip Estate in Port Harcourt.
The incident, which happened today, caused panic in the area, as aggrieved residents protested to the office of the Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company.
One of the residents, in a chat with us, said they had severally written to the company about the bad state of the wires, for them to be properly fixed, but got no response.
They said the tragic incident would have been averted if PHED, had responded to their calls.
According to them, the remains of the deceased mother of two have been deposited in a mortuary.
