The Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, has proposed naming the Kaa-Ataba Bridge after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu upon completion and commissioning.
Momoh made the proposal while inspecting the ongoing project, describing the bridge as a landmark infrastructure project that demonstrates the Federal Government’s commitment to improving connectivity in riverine communities across the Niger Delta.
He commended the Niger Delta Development Commission, officials of the Ministry of Regional Development and the contractor for the progress made, urging the contractor to complete the outstanding works and ensure the road is ready for commissioning as promised.
The Minister said the bridge has an approximately 11-metre-wide carriageway, with 1.25-metre pedestrian walkways on both sides.
According to him, the project represents a significant infrastructure achievement that will strengthen connectivity and provide lasting benefits to communities across the Niger Delta.
