The Rivers State University, has said that the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, will visit the school next month, for accreditation of the College of Medical Sciences.
Provost of the College of Medical Sciences, Prof. chituru Orlu disclosed this in a statement, when the House of Assembly Committee on Health visited the college, yesterday.
He said the medical Council will visit the school to inspect facilities, ahead of the accreditation of the Medical Science Department.
The institution also commended the Governor of the State, Nyesom Wike for releasing the sum of N7.6 billion for the medical college.
Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Nlerum Okogbule made this known in a statement.
