Director of Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Ejike Mbaka has accused the Bishop of Enugu Catholic Diocese, Calistus Onaga of being behind his disappearance.
Mbaka, who disclosed this while addressing supporters after his release, said he was detained by the church authorities, who threatened to keep him away from the public, for a month, to enable him pray.
He said the church authorities were not happy with him for blessing Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra.
Mbaka said it was the protest by his parishioners that forced the church authorities to release him, few hours into his incarceration.
“They said it was a meeting, but even before I reached the Bishop’s house, conclusion has already been made. What happened to me was like the day I was shot on the road,” he said.
“They didn’t treat me in a pastoral way and I was asking am I being punished for what?,” he added.
