Following the revelation of Nollywood screen diva, Anita Joseph in an online video yesterday, in which she faulted claims by some wives that their husbands raped them, stating that such statement is wrong. Nollywood actress, Victoria Inyama has come out to counter the opinion of Anita Joseph.
Victoria Inyama in a statement yesterday said many married women have experienced and are still experiencing marital rape in their marriages. She noted that forcefully having sex with a spouse is another act of domestic violence.
Anita Joseph had in her video argued that because a husband had sex with the wife when she was not in the mood, cannot be said to rape. She went further to affirm that the body of a woman is the food of her husband and should be made available whenever he needs it.
The statement by Anita Joseph yesterday has since been generating reactions especially amongst her industry colleagues.
