A contender for the traditional stool of Choba community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Samuel Echendu, is dead.
Samuel, who was contending for the stool with his younger brother, Eze Raymond Echendu, died on Wednesday, as he was getting prepared to go to court for judgement.
A source said he slumped and was immediately rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
The judgement could no longer go ahead as planned because of the incident.
The deceased had approached the court to remove his brother and install him as the paramount ruler of the community.
