The Chairman of the Civil Rights Organization, in Rivers State Prince Nwiro has commended the youths and council of chiefs of Orowurokwo community in PHALGA. This is for arresting and handing over an alleged rapist to the Nigeria Police.
The alleged rapist, Asuzi Chidi was caught raping a 14 year old boy and handed over to the Olu-Obasanjo Police Division after the intervention of the Civil Rights Organization. This was after failed attempts to settle the matter locally.
The chairman of the CRO, urged the Police to investigate and ensure justice is served on the matter. He equally called on the Police to arrest another suspect that was named in the matter following the confession of the alleged rapist.
Meanwhile the devastated mother of the assaulted 14 year old boy is calling for justice to be served on the matter. She expressed shock over the incident, stating that she still can not believe such a thing has happened to her child.
