Nigeria’s Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire has announced that the Madagascar herbal remedy, ‘COVID Organics’ can cure cough but not the dreaded COVID-19.
Ehanire made the revelation during the presidential task force (PTF) on COVID-19 briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD) had on July 19, disclosed that safety studies show that the CVO cannot cure coronavirus.
Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire said the herbal product has not shown that it has any curative powers for COVID-19, as analysis carried out showed that it is the same as the plant Artemisia anua, grown in Abuja by the NIPRD.
