Dearest APC faithfuls, be proud of the fact that you supported the Pastor Cole/Dr Barikor ticket. Be proud of the fact that you stood for light. Be proud that you supported a ticket that consciously volunteered time to sell a manfesto to Rivers people. Don’t be angry that they didn’t sponsor violence and desperation to capture power.
Don’t be swayed by the pyrrhic victory of those whose only understanding of politics is that you MUST win by all means necessary. Don’t envy them at all. The END does justify the means.
To all our House of Assembly and National Assembly candidates, you’re heroes. Your sacrifices for the party cannot be wished away. To those who are determined to challenge the irresponsible outing of the INEC and Police on 25th February and 18th March, I wish you the best.
To our leader, the RT Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, CON…my respect for you is that in the face of exteme provocations and temptations to acquisce to violence, you have always stood your ground. Thank you for not supporting that the state burns down in the name of elections. Thank you for not willingly and intentionally adding to the number of families mourning their loved ones. History will be very kind to you, Sir.
To all lovers of democracy, indeed we are very far from getting it right. It will take a lot of advocacy and good governance to restore the confidence of our people in the electoral process. The INEC must be delivered from the demon of political interferences and prebendalism. We have a NEC and not an INEC.
