Spokesperson of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Solomon Lenu has alleged that the chairman of Emohua local government area, Chidi Lloyd physically attacked a man at the PDP campaign flag off last Saturday, same way he attacked a fellow lawmaker few years ago on the floor of the State House of Assembly.
Lenu, said this while reacting to a video of Chidi Lloyd crying and apologizing to Gov. Nyesom Wike for working against him in 2015 and 2019 during the inauguration of internal roads in Emohua few days ago.
“Are you aware the crying & repentant Chidi Lloyd, also nack an old man akpako again at the PDP campaign flag off last Saturday?” he said.
Speaking, during the inauguration, Lloyd broke down in tears and begged Gov. Wike to forgive him, revealing that he went from one court to another in a bid to stop his swearing-in in 2019.
Lenu, who also reacted to lawsuits by the PDP against other parties in the state, said the ruling party must allow Rivers people to choose who they want to lead them.
According to him, plotting to remove every other party from the race is a grave electoral malpractice that should stop.
“PDP must allow Rivers people to choose who they want to lead them. Don’t force anyone on the people. Allow APC to also participate. Plotting to remove every other party from the race is a grave electoral malpractice, & should stop,” he said.
