A Police officer has been arrested after he allegedly shot dead a landlord who caught him while attempting to steal in his compound.
The incident, occurred at the Akpanaka Phase 11 axis of Ogbogoro in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State, yesterday.
Chairman of the area, Nwaordu Nyeche in a chat with journalists said the mobile Police officer shot the landlord after he caught him attempting to steal.
According to him, the suspect was caught in one of the rooms, by OSPAC officials in the area.
This was after he injured himself while trying to escape. He was traced to his hideout with the help of blood stains on the ground.
The Police was yet to react to the incident, as at the time of filing this report.
