A driver and eight of his passengers travelling along the Emuoha/Kalabari road in Rivers State have been abducted by heavily armed gunmen.
According to Punch, the incident occured when the passengers were traveling in a commercial bus from the Abali Park in Port Harcourt to Abonema in Akuku/Toru Local Government Area of the state.
Farah George, Secretary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Kalabari line in Abali Park, Port Harcourt, made this known.
He said the incident occurred on Saturday night at a bad section of the road, Isreal-Ama.
The Police in the state was yet to react to the incident as at the time of filing this report
