Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo has alleged that fuel Subsidy which was removed by President, Bola Tinubu has been reintroduced due to the high rate of inflation.
Obasanjo made this known during an interview with Financial Times few days ago.
According to him, measures should have been put in place before its removal by the current administration last year, adding that such decisions are not taken hastily.
“There’s a lot of work that needs to be done. Not just wake up one morning and say you removed the subsidy. Because of inflation, the subsidy that we have removed is not gone. It has come back,” he said.
