The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Rivers State says the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, should be allowed to takeover the conduct of local government elections across the country.
Chairman of the party in the state, Amb. Leader Samson disclosed this while reacting to the just concluded local government elections in the state, during a press briefing in Port Harcourt, over the weekend.
He said the conduct of LGA elections by INEC, will allow for level playing ground for all parties, as such elections are been hijacked by the state ruling party.
Samson disassociated the ADC, from claims by the state Inter Party Advisory Council that the election was free, fair and credible.
He also denied allegations that the party collected money from IPAC, or any other political party before the election, describing it as a ploy to malign him and set confusion in the party.
He called on stakeholders of the party and all those who spent their hard earned monies to contest the election to remain calm as the party is being repositioned.
