The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disowned a poster circulating on social media claiming that it has reaffirmed the Senator David Mark-led leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The Commission described the publication as fake, stating that it did not originate from INEC.
In a statement, INEC said the unauthorized publication featured its logo and the image of a National Commissioner, Mohammed Haruna, without the Commission’s approval.
It stressed that it had issued no such reaffirmation and urged members of the public to disregard the publication.
INEC advised the public to rely only on information disseminated through its official and verified communication channels.
