The International Federation of Women Lawyers in Rivers State, has said that incest and drug abuse is on the rise in the state.
Acting Chairperson of the group in the state, Nnenna Ibokwe who disclosed this in a statement in Port Harcourt, called for collaboration among stakeholders to end the menace.
She said the failure of people to report such cases to relevant authorities is responsible for the rise in the heinous act.
Ibokwe, urged members of the public to stop seeing the crime as family affair and report perpetrators to deter others from the wicked act.
She equally urged youths to desist from illicit drugs which leads to early grave.
