The trial of the dismissed Eagle crack officers alleged to have killed an Ikokwu automobile mechanic, Chima Ikwunad, and torturing four others was yesterday adjourned to October 20, 2020.
This was after the lawyers of the four accused officers objected to the way and manner the prosecution team served them the court proceedings.
Justice Florence Fibresima, after listening to their arguments, ordered the prosecution team to properly serve all court documents to the lawyers of the defendants.
Meanwhile, the four accused officers had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charges of conspiracy, murder and other charges levelled against them.
