The Chairman of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Hon. Ichemati Ezebunwo has presented food items, cows, toiletries and cash prizes to the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre.
Ezebunwo made the presentation when he visited the center to celebrate with inmates on Saturday.
The chairman who also promised to replace the damaged 10,000 capacity water tank at the center, explained that the visit underscores his administration’s dedication to social inclusion and justice reform.
He reassured the inmates of his administration’s commitment to improving their welfare, including better healthcare, skills acquisition programs, and legal aid for those eligible for early release or fair trials.
He commended the Comptroller General of the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre, the officers and the Inmates, for the warm reception.
