A group known as Rivers Development Foundation (RiDeF) has called on the state Governor, Sim Fubara, to probe the 23 outgoing local government (LG) chairmen.
Rejoice Okoli, President of the group made the call in a statement at the weekend.
According to her, there are allegations of mismanagement of internally generated revenues (IGR) by the chairmen that needs to be investigated.
“The Rivers Development Foundation (RiDeF) wishes to call the attention of His Excellency, Governor Siminalayi Fubara to the serious allegations of corruption, misappropriation, and gross misconduct against some of the outgoing Local Government Chairmen in the state,” she said.
