The Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt has suspended two students of the institution, for one academic year.
Dr. C. A. Ajie, Director of students Affairs of the institution made this known in a statement on behalf of the Registrar yesterday.
The students, Idongesit Okpokpo of the Department of Political Science and Chibuzor Remmy of the Department of Educational Management were suspended for allegedly making inciting statements on their social media handle.
Mr. Ajie who stated that the students are not to be seen on any of the campuses unless on invitation, advised them to handover the school’s properties to their HOD.
Elanhub gathered that Mr. Chibuzor had in a social media post yesterday called on students to protest against authorities of the institution for having only one bank on campus.
Idongesit on his part, had called for the cancellation of the final year examination and the matriculation ceremony slated for November 7, 2020.
