Rivers State recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2,846 with 2,697 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 155 new cases of the virus. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with – 85, FCT-23 Ondo-18 Ogun-8, Kaduna-5, Oyo-5, Taraba-5, Kano-3, Rivers-2, and Bauchi-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 63,328 with 59,675 and 1,151 deaths,
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
