Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has said that if he had the money his predecessor, Chibuike Amaechi had when he was Governor, Rivers State would have been a different place.
Wike, in a statement on Saturday, said the previous government had enough money at their disposal but failed to turn the state around.
He said with limited resources, he has been able to develop the state and Rivers people are happy with him.
“If we had the money they had when they were here, Rivers State would have been a different thing altogether,” Wike said.
The governor, added that he will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy to people of the state and that no project will be left uncompleted.
He urged Rivers people to pray for a successor who will consolidate on his achievements, and take the state to the next level.
