Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has said that if he had the kind of money the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi had when he was Governor, he would have turned the state to Dubai.
Wike, disclosed this while speaking at a reception to welcome former APC members into the People’s Democratic Party in Port Harcourt, on Saturday.
He said Amaechi had billions of naira available to him, but could not transform the state.
Wike, accused Amaechi of looting tax payers money, using it to acquire properties in Ghana and different parts of the world.
He maintained that a Panel of Inquiry set up by the State Government, indicted the Minister, but the Federal Government has continued to shield him from prosecution.
Wike also said that with the limited resources available to him, he has been able to transform Rivers State from what it used to be, and that he will continue to work till the day he leaves office.
He promised not to leave any uncompleted project, as all projects must be completed before the expiration of his tenure.
