Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, has said that he will not tolerate secessionist groups that wants to use the State as base for their illegal activities.
The Governor who made this known during a meeting with the leadership of the Nigerian Army on Tuesday, said the state is not part of any secession.
He said all those interested in secession can go elsewhere, as no such activity will be tolerated by his administration.
“All those who are talking about their independence, they can go anywhere, but not from here. We are not part of any secession,” he said.
The Governor during the meeting, urged the military hierarchy to withdraw soldiers attached to VIPs and deploy them to areas affected by insurgency.
The Chief of Army Staff, General Ibrahim Attahiru in his remarks, commended the governor for the prevailing peace and security in the State and his zero tolerance for separatist groups.
Secession is against the law of nigeria so anyone who is planning dis would definitely face the wrath of the law,bt that of withdrawing security personnel from vip does that means the governor will move about without escort?
