Governor, Nyesom Wike has said that he does not know the National Chairman of Labour Party, Julius Abure who claimed that he rigged the presidential election in favor of the APC in the state.
Wike, said this during a media chat in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, when asked to react to the allegation by Abure that he sent military men to cart away ballot boxes when he found out that Obi was coasting to victory in the state.
He stated that he is not in control of the security architecture in the state, as Governors are mere logistics officers.
Wike, also said that he has never being involved in the appointment of any Commissioner of Police since he assumed office, and have no power to control them.
He alleged that Amaechi has been the one appointing Commissioners of Police deployed to the state, including the current CP, Okon Effiong.
He denied reports that the military aided him in rigging the elections, adding that Rivers people voted for the PDP massively because his administration has performed credibly well.
