Professor Owunari Georgewill, The Vice Chancellor, University of Port Harcourt has called on the Students, Staff and Stakeholders of the Institution to come together and work with his administration for a better UNIPORT.
The Vice Chancellor made the statement Sunday 10th October at the Institution’s Convocation Arena in a Thanksgiving Service and Reception ceremony organized in his honour for his appointment as the 9th Vice Chancellor of the Institution.
Professor O.A Georgewill said he has nothing against anybody, he called on all and sundry to come together for a great Unique UNIPORT.
The Thanksgiving service and reception ceremony saw the convocation ground occupied beyond capacity as people from all walks of life came to celebrate with the Georgewill’s family.
Professors Nimi Briggs and S.C Lale, Former Vice Chancellors of the Institution, The Chairman of the Institution’s Governing Council, Chief Andrew Uchendu and other notable personalities in the academia graced the event.
There was a reception/entertainment of guests at the University of Port Harcourt Gymnasium Centre.
