Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has refuted the long-standing perception that he is a womanizer, saying the claim is a misunderstanding of his personality and relationships.
In an exclusive interview with the Voice of Nigeria (VON), the veteran artiste spoke openly about how public narratives around his private life developed, noting that his honesty about emotions and relationships has often been misread. The interview was reported by Eyes of Lagos.
According to 2Baba, his straightforward nature and openness about his feelings toward women contributed to the reputation that has followed him over the years.
“The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer,” he said. “I like women, and I’m open about it. But I’m a lover boy — I love deeply.”
He stressed that while he is expressive in matters of the heart, the popular label does not accurately define who he is.
