Super Cop, DCP Abba Kyari is being honoured by the Nigeria House of Representatives for his outstanding and selfless service in the fight against crime and criminality. A decision had earlier been reached by members of the House to honor outstanding Nigerians, selflessly working for the good of the nation.
Kyari, known for his extraordinary courage and patriotism in tackling high profile crimes in the country, has served in several states of the federation, including Adamawa, Lagos, to name a few.
Abba Kyari who is the commander in charge of the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team was famed for the arrest of billionaire kidnapper, Evans and the capture of the killers of former Chief of Defense Staff, Alex Badeh. He and his team also arrested the deadly kidnapper, White VAMPIRE that terrorised Owerri and its environs.
According to a House member, Ahmed Jaha, Kyari equally arrested several Boko-Haram commanders including bomb makers and those responsible for the kidnap of the famous Chibok girls, amongst others.
Speaker of The House, Femi Gbajabiamila during the last sitting when the agreement was reached to honour Kyari, said “When I read the profile of that young man and the exploits he has made as a young police officer, I was impressed, and I think it’s only natural that we, in line with our legislative agenda and the practice of this Assembly invite DCP Abba Kyari to be at the session this Thursday to formally receive legislative commendation from the House of Nigerians.”
Ahmed Jaha who led debate on the motion, commended the officer known as Nigeria’s Super Cop for his achievements in curbing crime and criminality. Kyari who also ensured the arrest of the deadly Offa robbers in Kwara, is seen as a role model to many Nigerians
