Some supporters of the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar yesterday escaped death after they were attacked with guns and machetes while hanging posters of the PDP candidate in Omuma LGA of Rivers State.
Spokesperson of the Rivers State, Civil Society Organizations, Solomon Lenu made this known in a statement and also shared video clips of the victims receiving treatment in a hospital.
According to him, they were attacked by hirelings of Governor Nyesom Wike.
He described the incident as painful, noting that it is giving people a gory deep into what next year’s election in the state would look like under the dictates of Gov. Wike.

The attempted manslaughter in the video below happened in Omuma LGA in Rivers state, where the victims were posting campaign posters of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and was attacked with machete by the Governor’s hirelings.
This is painful, because it is giving us a gory peep into what 2023 election in Rivers state would look like under the dictates of the incumbent Governor, who is currently at war with the PDP presidential candidate.
