The Academic Staff Union of Universities, has asked Nigerians to hold the Federal Government responsible if universities are shutdown again.

Prof. Ayo Akniwole, ASUU Chairman at the University of Ibadan, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.

He said universities may be shutdown again over alleged victimisation of members and non-payment of salaries.

He also said after the government promised to meet their demands, which made them suspend the strike, months later they are yet to fulfill them.
